Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it submitted to another journal for consideration.
  • The author guarantees that the submitted article will not be submitted elsewhere until the review process has been completed in this journal.
  • Where available, DOIs for the references have been provided.
  • Instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • All co-authors have agreed to this submission.
  • Copyright issues in materials used have been cleared.

Author Guidelines

Submission is not open; prospective authors will be invited by an editor to submit a manuscript. 

Once invited, authors are encouraged to consult these instructions for filing their metadata and uploading their manuscripts.

We normally prefer submissions in LaTeX; authors will be supplied with sty and bst files by the issue editor. Alternatively, we can accept submission in Word, in which case a Word document template will normally be provided. 

Your reference list must include DOI-numbers for those references that have them. You can use Crossref's SimpleTextQuery to find DOI-numbers for your references. (Your reference management software may also have functionality to search for DOIs.)

Submissions should be anonymized for double-blind review. 

A manuscript should include a 200 word abstract and be accompanied by about three to five keywords. Unless the issue editor specifies otherwise, we encourage authors not to exceed 30 pages in manuscript length.

Authors will not be charged publication fees.
