Abstract

The prose of Andrej Belyj shows many features typical of poetry. In this paper some of these phenomena - word order, orchestration, metaphors - are briefly discussed on the basis of material from Belyj's first novel, «The silver dove» (1909), with special regard to their place in the system of static and dynamic elements in the work of art.
