La relación entre complejidad léxica y sintáctica en una tarea narrativa. ¿Dos caras de la misma moneda?

Las principales hipótesis (la de la compensación y la de la cognición) acerca del efecto de la dificultad de la tarea en la producción lingüística, no parecen formular conjeturas específicas para los distintos aspectos incluidos bajo la denominación general de complejidad lingüística. Este trabajo investiga el efecto del grado de dificultad de una tarea narrativa en la complejidad léxica y sintáctica de textos producidos por estudiantes universitarios suecos de español como lengua extranjera (ELE). Asimismo, se pretende arrojar luz sobre la relación entre estos dos aspectos de la complejidad lingüística, para detectar posibles cambios en dicha relación ocasionados por la variación de la dificultad de la tarea. Los resultados apuntan hacia una relación positiva entre léxico y sintaxis en lo que concierne a la diversidad léxica y el grado de subordinación. En cambio, la relación entre la diversidad léxica y el grado de coordinación en los textos resulta ser negativa.
