DIFERENCIAS EVENTIVAS Y MORFOSINTÁCTICAS ENTRE LOS VERBOS QUEDAR y QUEDARSE.

Este trabajo se centra en el análisis de quedar y quedarse como verbos pseudo-copulativos del español; es decir, verbos que ni son totalmente plenos ni copulativos (Morimoto & Pavón Lucero 2007). Nuestro propósito es mostrar la diferencia estructural y eventiva entre los verbos quedar y quedarse a partir de la estructura morfológica, ya que quedarse cuenta con un SVoz expletiva (Schäfer 2008) que hospeda un argumento expletivo (el clítico se), y quedar, en cambio, no cuenta con esa opción. Analizamos estos verbos cuando sus complementos son adjetivos (SA) y participios (SAsp.) (Embick 2004), desde el marco teórico provisto por la Morfología Distribuida (Halle & Marantz 1993). Sostenemos que la diferencia morfosintáctica entre quedarse y quedar nos permite explicar los comportamientos diferenciados que presentan en la forma progresiva, el modo imperativo y la combinación con adjuntos que expresan gradualidad. Adicionalmente, los diagnósticos y el análisis que presentamos nos permiten diferenciar los verbos pseudo-copulativos volverse y ponerse de resultar, salir y acabar.
