The ancient trapping site ID 37433 on Storjord in Saltdalen, Nordland County, consists of five pitfall traps, four of which were archaeologically investigated in 2022 in connection with improvement of E6. These pits appear to be part of a larger system of pitfall traps, that continues east of the river Saltelva. Two areas between three of the pits were also excavated and investigated: a structure interpreted as a hearth was recorded here. The pits were of approximately the same size and located at equal distances from each other. The trap pits and the hearth have dates from 3650 BCE to 790 BCE.
