Kvitnes Middagshaugen was recorded in 2015 as a tent settlement with an árran (hearth) and a tent ring.
Archaeological investigations revealed that it was situated directly on the bedrock, on a small hill. Such a location is typical for Sámi spring settlements.
Analysis of charcoal from the hearth provided a dating to 1639–1792.
