Focus and Scope
iC3 Report Series aims to publish reports and similar results released by the researchers affiliated with the Centre for ice, cryosphere, carbon and climate (iC3). This report series is a collection of annual reports, cruise reports, fieldtrip reports, sampling protocols and the Data Management Plan.
iC3 was awarded as Centre of Excellence (CoE) from The Research Council of Norway RCN in 2022. It is established and hosted by the Department of Geology at UiT; Norwegian Polar Institute NPI and NORCE partake into the project as major partners.
iC3 produces ground-breaking insights into how the links between ice sheets, carbon cycles and ocean ecosystems are impacting life on earth. The centre collaborates with leading researchers worldwide on research projects that seek to answer some of the biggest questions in polar research and provide essential data and models to underpin future assessments of greenhouse warming IPCC and biodiversity and ecosystem services IPBES.
Peer Reviewing
The reports in the series are not peer-reviewed
Publication Frequency
Publication of volumes occurs occasionally, as the reports arise from scientific expeditions without regular schedule.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
