Abstract

Sweden has made a new deal with the publisher Elsevier. The previous agreement with Elsevier was terminated in 2018, as the Bibsam Consortium & Elsevier were unable to reach a solution that met both parties' requirements for prices and open access. In this episode, we talk to Wilhelm Widmark, Library Director at Stockholm University, who has also been a part of the negotiation team. He shares his thoughts on the new deal and how Sweden has experienced being without an agreement since 2018.

The host of this episode is Erik Lieungh.

This episode was first published 3 December 2019.
