A working group appointed by Universities Norway (UHR) was mandated to recommend guiding principles for the assessment and evaluation of research(ers) in light of the transition to Open Science. In February 2021 the working group delivered their report, which includes a guide for research assessment. Johansen will give a brief introduction to NOR-CAM.

Author Biography

Finn-Eirik Johansen, University of Oslo

Finn-Eirik Johansen is a professor of biology at UiO where he researches comparative immunology and teaches molecular biology, cell biology and immunology. Johansen has previously been head of department, director of UiO: Life Sciences and dean of research and has in these management positions worked with career guidance and competence development for younger researchers. He chaired University Norway’s working group for researcher assessment, which submitted its report “NOR-CAM – A toolbox for recognition and rewards in academic careers” in February 2021.
