Author Guidelines

Aurorae Borealis Studia Classica welcomes introductions to any kind of text on the aurora borealis which is old enough to be in the public domain. In practical terms, this normally means that the rights holder (author, artist, photographer) has been dead for more than 70 years. Contact the editor at per.pippin.aspaas@uit.no if you are considering contributing to the series.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • Before submitting your manuscript, please contact the editor, who will check the relevance of your proposal and provide a word template that is to be used.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format and the template provided by the editor has been followed scrupulously.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

Your introduction as well as any supplementary material (appendices in the form of translations etc.) will be published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. As author, you retain the copyright to your work.
