Author Guidelines

Eludamos accepts original articles of up to 8,000 words (excluding references, notes and tables). The journal only accepts one submission per author at any given time.

Eludamos does not accept unsolicited reviews or commentaries. If you have an idea for a commentary or work you want to review, please email our review editor and explain the rationale for the essay and how it corresponds to the overall scope if the journal. Reviews and commentaries go through an editorial review process, and should not exceed 3,000 words.Before starting the submission process, please make sure your manuscript complies with the following:

  • The manuscript has not been published and is not under consideration for publication with any other publisher.
  • The manuscript has been fully anonymized. This includes both the meta data settings within the journal system, and the meta data of the document itself. If you are using MS Word, the instructions can be found here. Please double check, since we notice a lot of authors ignore this.The manuscript is formatted according to the Eludamos formatting styleguide.  This includes consistent and correct reference use, including DOIs to all referenced work.
  • The manuscript has been proofread carefully.
  • You have have acquired the necessary rights and permissions to publish all copyrighted material included in your manuscript.
  • You have followed all applicable ethical rules and guidelines when acquiring and processing your research data.
  • You include the names of any funding sources that have contributed to your research.
  • You state potential conflicts of interest.

Manuscripts that do not comply with all of the above will be returned to the author(s).

 

When submitting your manuscript for consideration with Eludamos, please upload

  1. a title page with author info (incl. names, titles, affiliations, and full contact details), manuscript title, abstract and up to 8 keywords, and
  2. a fully anonymized main document containing the complete article.

Please submit your document as an MS Word document, RTF, or ODT.

Eludamos aims for a speedy and reliable review process.

The journal is currently indexed at Scopus, ERIH PLUS, and DOAJ.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements:

  • The submission is not been previously published, and is not considered for publication elsewhere.
  • The manuscript follows the Eludamos formatting styleguide, available under “Submissions”.
  • The manuscript does not violate Eludamos’ AI policy or ethics and malpractice statement.

Manuscripts published with Eludamos are open access in accordance with Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license. 

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.

Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).
