Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it submitted to another journal for consideration (unless an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The author guarantees that the submitted article will not be submitted elsewhere until the review process has been completed in this journal.
- Authors have disclosed potential conflicts of interest at the time of submission.
- All co-authors have agreed to this submission.
- If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
- We accept submissions even when the author has made a pre-submission version of the article available in some repository (eg., LingBuzz). However, the author acknowledges that having a preprint publicly available means that the journal cannot guarantee the anonymity of the author during the review process, even if they anonymise the submitted files.
- If the paper is built over a data set coming from fieldwork or from a corpus, and not all data used in the research are contained in the article, the author has added as supplementary material the file with the data set, so that reviewers consider them during the reviewing process.
- The author guarantees that, if the article is published, the experimental data set used in the research – if any – will be made publicly available through a certified data repository platform such as TROLLing, The Language Archive or Fedora Commons.
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
- Where available, DOIs or URLs for the references have been provided.
- Copyright issues in materials used have been cleared.
