Когнитивные основы дискурсивных функций русского местоимения такой
(Cognitive grounds for discourse functions of the Russian pronoun takoj)
Keywords:
Russian, pronoun, cognitive linguistics
Abstract
This article explores the use and meaning of Russian takoj ‘such'. It is argued that there are five sub-meanings that are related in terms of two key concepts in cognitive linguistics, namely metonymy and metaphor. Some of the sub-meanings, which are characteristic of spontaneous speech, do not fit traditional definitions and have not received much attention in the scholarly literature before. Data are elicited from The Russian National Corpus, as well as The Corpus of Spontaneous Speech established at the State University of St Petersburg.
