is the world's only scientific journal dealing exclusively with biology and management of arctic and northern ungulates, reindeer and caribou in particular. Rangifer publishes original research papers, review articles and brief communications in all themes and fields related to the animal reindeer/caribou and reindeer husbandry as culture and industry, and also papers on other northern ungulates.

Reindeer husbandry is a novel research area for NJF (Nordic Association of Agricultural Scientists), taken over from the previous Nordic Council for Reindeer Husbandry Research (NOR) which was closed down in 2012.

Welcome to join as member of the newly established NJF Reindeer Husbandry Section - a contact forum for those interested in science related to reindeer biology and reindeer management, including social, cultural and economical aspects.
