No. 2 (2023)
The Norwegian Registry for Spine Surgery aims to improve the quality of spine surgery performed in Norwegian hospitals. The target group is all patients who undergo operations for degenerative spine conditions at public and private hospitals. The purpose is to enable individual hospitals to track their own results, both desirable and undesirable effects of treatment. National, aggregated registry data will be the reference for individual hospitals. The registry enjoys broad support in the professional community and benefits patients in the form of a better and more transparent health service. The data controller and owner of the register is the University Hospital of North Norway health trust.
