Andrei Rogatchevski, UiT The Arctic University of Norway

Andrei Rogatchevski is Professor of Russian Literature and Culture at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. His latest book (co-authored with Polina Besprozvannaya and Roman Timenchik) is Russophone Periodicals in Israel (Stanford 2016).

Yngvar B. Steinholt, UiT The Arctic University of Norway

Dr Yngvar B. Steinholt is associate professor of Russian culture and literature at the UiT The Arctic University of Norway. He is author of Rock in the Reservation: Songs from the Leningrad Rock Club 1981-86 (MMMSP 2005) and co-author of Punk in Russia. Cultural Mutation from the ‘Useless’ to the ‘Moronic’ (Routledge 2014). He has published numerous articles on Soviet and post-Soviet popular music, Russian contemporary culture and Russian art activism. A founding member of the research group Russian Space: Concepts, Practices, Representations, Steinholt is currently working on a research project on sonic representations of Russia in literature, cinema and the arts. He is also participating in Sublime Imperfections, a interdisciplinary research project on glitch aesthetics at Universiteit van Amsterdam, financed by the NWO (2015-19).
