Helsesykepleieres erfaringer med det universalforebyggende programmet Livet&Sånn i barneskolen

Resumé

Det har vært en økning i psykiske helseplager blant barn og unge. Å lære barn og unge strategier som fremmer psykisk helse og forebygger psykiske helseplager kan fremme livsmestring. Hensikten med denne studien er å utforske helsesykepleieres erfaringer med det universalforebyggende programmet Livet&Sånn anvendt overfor norske elever i barneskolen.  Livet&Sånn søker å fremme den psykiske helsen til barn og unge, gjennom å gi elevene kunnskap om psykisk helse, og lære de mestringsstrategier. Et kvalitativt design med en fokusgruppe og individuelle intervju ble gjennomført med ti helsesykepleiere. Intervjuene ble analysert ved bruk av tematisk analyse. Resultatene viser at bruken av programmet Livet&Sånn kan fremmes ved en tydeliggjøring av rollene i samarbeidet mellom helsesykepleier og lærer, samt en tydeligere ledelsesforankring. Programmet kan bidra til en vridning fra individ- til gruppetilnærming og til normalisering av følelser og psykiske plager hos elevene. Gjennom Livet&Sånn kan helsesykepleierne nå ut til flere barn med psykisk helsefremmende arbeid.
