Kategorien "Utviklingsarbeider i helsefagene" har i hovedsak vært benyttet for fagartikler. Fra 2021 vil Nordisk tidsskrift for helseforskning kanalisere manuskripter i kategorien fagartikler under sin egen seksjon med samme navn.
